Guruji Bankupalli Shivaji Sharma is a practitioner of Vedic traditions, Sri Vidya Upasana and Vedic Astrology, with years of disciplined study under respected teachers and spiritual lineages. His approach combines tradition, spiritual practice and practical guidance for everyday life.
Early Learning & Family Tradition
Guruji developed a deep interest in Vedic learning, Smartha traditions and spiritual discipline from an early age. His foundational training began under the guidance of his father, Sri Bankupalli Nageswara Rao, from whom he learned Vedic practices, Smartha traditions and the foundations of ritual discipline. This early training became the strong foundation for his later journey in Sri Vidya, astrology and spiritual guidance.
Sri Vidya Journey
Guruji continued his advanced spiritual studies under respected scholars and teachers including Dr. Nishthala Prahlada Sastry and Devipuram Guruji Sri Amritananda Natha.
Devipuram Guruji Sri Amritananda Natha dedicated his life to Sri Vidya Upasana, Sri Chakra worship and the Guru Parampara. His teachings emphasized disciplined Sadhana, devotion to the Guru, inner transformation and service. Under this lineage, Guruji deepened his understanding of Sri Vidya not merely as ritual, but as a spiritual path and a way of life.
Guruji underwent nearly twelve years of dedicated Sri Vidya Upasana and Sadhana and received Poorna Deeksha in the tradition of Tripuramba Sahita Shivanandanatha.
Study of Astrology
Alongside Sri Vidya, Guruji pursued extensive study in Vedic Astrology. He studied different traditional approaches and systems under scholars and practitioners across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
His areas of study include horoscope analysis, Muhurtha, Prashna, remedial astrology, Shanti procedures, spiritual remedies and the practical application of astrology in daily life.

Guruji's Philosophy on Astrology
Astrology is not meant to create fear. It is meant to show direction.
Guruji believes that astrology should never be used to frighten people. Astrology is a guiding science — a way of understanding time, karma and the possible consequences of our choices.

In today's world, astrology is sometimes presented through fear, exaggerated doshas and unnecessary remedies. Guruji strongly believes that spiritual remedies must be meaningful, appropriate and rooted in tradition.
Karma & Remedies
One of Guruji's central teachings is that spiritual remedies are not a way to escape karma.
Puja, Japa, Shanti and other remedial practices are meant to reduce the intensity of negative influences, strengthen the mind, support right action and help a person face difficult periods with clarity and courage.
